There are so many great neighborhoods in Charlotte. We work to find areas of the city that would be a great fit for an office. Eighteen years ago, we settled on opening doors to the University, and we are still celebrating this location!
Charlotte Dental Partnership
As part of our continued commitment to provide complete dental care for our families, we are pleased to have a great partnership with Burrow Orthodontics. Burrow Orthodontics comes to the University location several days a week to provide our patients with the opportunity to seek orthodontic treatment in the same location they receive their routine dental care. Because our families already trust our staff & doctors, they know that Burrow Orthodontics will be a great partner in their child’s oral health care.
Our University Location
We opened in the University area in 1998. At that time, it was an area that was growing both in community neighborhoods and business communities. Since that time, it has continued to grow with housing and expand with opportunities for families and businesses. This location is convenient to both I-85 & I-485, making it a perfect fit for nearby neighborhoods as well.
Our décor is bright & colorful, with murals throughout the office to appeal to children. We have toys and video games, both in our reception area and clinic areas. We have a variety of games to appeal to older children and interactive games for younger children to enjoy.
The parents and kids who are part of our University family are such treasures. They seem to feel the same way about us. “I have taken my three kids to the office on Mallard Creek since they were 5 and always had a great experience there. My kids love going there. My kids are teenagers now and we feel super comfortable going there every time. Their service is superb and everyone at the office has been pleasant and great help to us in different circumstances. Meet the Charlotte Pediatric Dentistry University Team
While we take the health of your child’s teeth seriously, we try to keep it light around here (check out our impromptu staff photo below for proof!). Our University office is headed up by Dr. Hwang with the support of Drs. Moore & Dunlap. Natalie & Andrea lead our front office and both are bilingual (Spanish & English) to better serve our patients and parents. Our main hygienist is Emily; she is assisted by Salina & Carol. Carol is semi-retired, but she has been with us since just after this location opened in 1998, and we are trying to keep her around as long as possible! Our dental assistant team is Morgen, Danielle, Ashley, Paige, Caitlin, Suleika, and Meredith. Finally, Rebecca heads our sterilization.
Just like in the offices of Gastonia & Davidson, we look for talented individuals who are also dedicated to creating a great experience for each and every child who comes through our doors. We know that happy and healthy dental habits begin at a young age (around age 1) and each experience is of the utmost importance.
